About Me
I am the EAL Radio Show Webmaster and one of the EAL Radio Broadcast Host. I also was the former Editor of "KIT" for EARA. I am also the wife of Don Gagnon, the 30-year EAL Control Systems Planner and former ETC Rep. in the Bahamas. Additionally, I was the Hostess along with our Host, Captain Neal, that ran the successful 2nd Annual Eastern Airlines Pioneers Reunion and Celebration that was held September 23 & 24, 2016 at the Embassy Suites Seventeenth Street Hotel in Ft. Lauderdale, FL We had an outstanding 2016 Reunion and was extremely happy to meet all our members and to celebrate Vito Borrelli and Captain Robert Wilbur, Jr. and place them in the EAL Radio Show Hall of Fame. Thank you for adding me to the site.Mom and Dad met while they were employed at EAL ,She was on the Martin 404's and Dad flew DC7'S and Connie's then moved on to the DC-8 .They were both based in Miami but when I arrived in 1959 it was the end of Mom's tenure at EAL as in those days Married and pregnant were a no no.My Uncle was a Captain at EAL and when he retired he was No. 3 on the Seniority list,He flew 727's and was based in Atlanta.After Eastern Dad went on to fly for Japan Airlines on DC-8'S for about 9 years 66-75 along with alot of other Eastern Flight Engineers who lost thier jobs in the 1963 strike .I can remember going to Idlewild Airport and sitting in the car while Dad walked the picket line .
