About Me

I am the daughter of EAL Captain Matthew D. Akstin

Dad passed away from lung cancer after a short, but brutal 7 week fight.  He was his own man, and "Mr. Independent" untill the end.

Kerry, Thanks. I received the information and listed it under REPA/Memorials. Your father was a very exceptional person and I am sure you just loved him immensely. Thanks for keeping us updated.

Kerry, Thank you for joining us as a member. We are happy to have you, as you most certainly are a big part of the Eastern Family. We are terribly sorry to hear your Dad past away, and extend our deepest sympathy in your loss. He was truly a good man, and loyal to Eastern during his tenure. Please send me your info on your Dad and I will be happy to post the write-up in our Memorial. We also hope that you feel free to write and share the memories of you and your Dad while he worked for Eastern. Thanks for being with us!

To the daughter of Captain Matthew Akstin: We are very happy to have you aboard. There are many great stories that have been shared here from our Eastern Family and if you have a moment to browse through some of the tabs, you will be pleasantly surprised at the wonderful memories. Thanks for joining, Dorothy and Neal
