The REPA Eastern Reunion held on Wednesday, September 4 and Thursday, September 5, 2019  has news submitted by Jim Holder. Let's see what Jim has to say!

Well, we just concluded our first REPA Reunion, a bit north of Atlanta in Kennesaw, Georgia…We expected that the Embassy Suites would be a great place to have our Reunion and it certainly was! Easy to get to, new, clean and with Ruth Chris Steakhouse right there off the lobby. We had excellent food at both the Buffet and Banquet as they did all our catering.

What with free parking right outside the entrance, open bar at both the Buffet and Banquet, free breakfast for all guests in the hotel we just had to sit back and enjoy it all.

We did have a few cancellations due to the hurricane but still 50 folks showed up and from what we saw they really had a good time! More at REPA website:More with photos...click this hyperlink http://repaonline.com/reunion
REPA First Annual Reunion
September 4th to 6th, (Wed-Fri), 2019!

Registration starting at 12:00 Noon.  The hotel is right off I-75 about five miles north of I-285…Application & Registration at REPA website: http://repaonline.com/reunion

That evening, September 4th, we will have a private Cocktail Party (the hotel has one for the guests every evening but we will have our own) followed by a private Buffet…The next morning, September 5th, after the free breakfast provided by the hotel, we will have the required Business Meeting at 11:00 AM…

The ladies will have a Luncheon at 11:30 AM hosted by our First Lady, Patti Steinmetz… That evening we will have another private Cocktail Party, followed by our Banquet…As we will be cutting expenses (as only two nights, no paid guest speakers or musical entertainers at the Buffet, in addition to the free breakfasts provided by the hotel) we are able to reduce the cost of the Reunion to $175.00 per person or $350.00 per couple!

The hotel room (a two room suite with a King Size bed) will be $123.00 plus all the taxes and such; however, the hotel does have free parking… A few Suites with double Queen Size beds are available, and the rate for them is $153.00 plus taxes. The Embassy Suites Address is: 620 Chastain Road, Kennesaw, GA 30144.  The hotel is right off I-75 about five miles north of I-285 The phone number is 770-420-2505.

At the Banquet we will have drawings for cash Door Prizes. Your tickets will be included in the Registration Packet so everyone will have an even chance of winning (and there will be no Ticket Sales, which pleases your humble scribe/seller of Raffle Tickets muchly). In addition, at the Banquet we will have the usual drawing for a Free Room Night and an auction of donated Eastern items and memorabilia…

Making your reservation will be easy… Call the Embassy Suites Hotel at 770-420-2505 and tell them you are with the Retired Eastern Pilots Reunion Group. The room rate of $123.00 (plus the usual stuff) is available the day before the Reunion and the day after should you decide to arrive early or stay later than the reunion. However, you must make your reservations before August 18th to get this rate. We do recommend that you make your reservation as soon as possible… If you find that you cannot attend the Reunion, then your REPA registration payment will be refunded if you cancel before August 27th…

Well… There will be much more on the Reunion in the REPArtee magazine which is planned to be mailed in late May…

   Message from our REPA President
Folks….

2019 REPA President Johnny Steinmetz requested that we inform all that REPA will be having a convention of sorts in 2019…  As we have reported before it most likely will not be in the same format as before, the full blown three days and all of that…

At this time Johnny is working on the location and dates, which he hopes to have finalized in a month or so…
